Well, there's a fair few of them in there. There's also a lot of duplicates, though. Sorting through duplicates, especially in unlabeled wavs like these, can be a very tedious and time consuming process.
I think ultimately the best to get the PMD samples is to rip them from the DS version, where they're higher quality (and possibly quantity as well, given the 8 Bit noises are omitted) and make the soundfonts using those. Of course, there are members like our dear Hunter who have the know how to directly rip the instruments into SF2s with little to no effort and time, but I might do it the hardcore way and manually tune all the loops and define splits if necessary.
If for some reason you specifically want the GBA quality, then I guess we have this to work with, though making the percussion will be a ***** and a half lmao.

Jesus christ, there's 151 samples in the DS version, including a duplicate here and there, but still. I don't think I'm going to be doing this one alone, at least not without knowledge of how to rip the instruments with the splits and loops intact. At least though the samples are of higher quality.

I would help you doing a PMD soundfont using samples from the DS version, but as far as I know the game uses a completely different system from the standard Nitro SDAT. If it used the SDAT format, like Pokémon BW, it would be really easy to convert instruments to .sf2 files, keeping the loop points and the regions. That's how Hunter created the BW soundfont. However, I'll see if I can do something with the game. It was created by humans, so we should be able to break the system, as we are humans too. Or maybe someone is not... EDIT: For some reason, it looks like the game is "normal" and uses the SDAT format. I have no idea of what I could open it before, maybe it was a corrupt game image?

Oh thank god you posted XD Also, thanks for divulging the secrets. Now, if only I knew the tool I needed for the conversion/ripping of the SDAT format XD Anyway, I would think the game would be a normal SDAT format game, since it was one of the earliest DS games and basically a lazy port of the GBA music files lol. The DS version has the highest quality samples, save for it's simple waves, which are utterly horrendous lol (AKA use 8 bit samples/vsts instead), so the DS version would be the best way to make the instruments; If you really want GBA quality, you can downsample/bit crunch in the software lol

I gladly support your efforts. I love the samples from the Mystery Dungeon games. (Especially the church bells. AWESOME!) I apologize for being unable to help, though. I have no idea how to rip samples or make soundfont files. Good luck!

I now have like 50 instruments fully extracted. I may finish this today, but I'm not sure.
