Ganondorf has a ton of possibilities and they just threw away every one of them. I was hoping they'd do for Brawl what I want them to do for the fourth. But if they don't do it now, I'll just be incredibly upset. As you said, Black Star in and Ganon become a different character type Heck, replace Olimar with him, I doubt many people would miss him

Actually, I bet a lot of people would miss Olimar. Not to mention, they'd never take him out. Pikmin is gaining more and more popularity and is quickly becoming one of Nintendo's staple franchises. And Pikmin 3 next year is hardly going to reverse that.
But either way... what are you talking about? They wouldn't even need to replace anyone with Black Shadow. it's not like there's a 36 character limit. Why on Earth would they take someone out in order to put Black Shadow in?

They should at least try to limit it to some amount, the more characters there are the harder it is to balance

I agree that they should try to limit it, but for completely different reasons. I just don't want ridiculous numbers of dumb characters in the game. I couldn't stand it if Daisy or Waluigi made it. Or Rick the Hamster, or... any other Zelda character. The roster I posted is about the maximum number of new characters I think could make it. Obviously, some of the ones I lighted won't. Some probably will. Other characters that I didn't list might also make it. But regardless of how accurate this list is, I think the number of characters is about right.

Ridley's size shouldn't matter too much. They would probably just shrink him down. Kind of like how they made Captain Olimar huge (He is normally 4 centimeters tall). I really hope he wont get the shaft again.
Besides Ridley, I would really like to see some Castlevania representation in the next game. I don't care who, since most people from that series are BA. It's owned by Konami (who also makes Metal Gear) so there is hope that one might be put in.
Although either way I probably won't want the 4th smash. I was not a fan of Brawl at all. It had great content, but at high level play it was too dumbed down compared to Melee :/

Thinking about it, I kind of am a little surprised that one of the Belmonts hasn't made an appearance in SSB yet (or really anything to do with Castlevania). I would like to see one of them in the next SSB, if not for the actual character, but also so there could be renditions of Vampire Killer and Divine Bloodlines. xP

The ones I see realistically making it in: Zoroark--There are signs which make it similar to Lucario: It itself was premiered before the actual Black/White franchise came out. It had it's own movie. Thus everyone knows it a lots of people love it. Just like Lucario (came out beforehand, had its own movie, etc.) They've built Zoroark up as almost the staple of this generation, so it would be no surprise to see Zoroark in there. Plus, he's got a similar build to Lucario so it wouldn't be hard to implement him as a similar character.
Paper Mario: Again, a popular character much loved, and one that would act in a similar fashion to Toon Link--not in functionality, but in character purpose. All previous points said about Paper Mario are completely valid and explain why I think he's a valid choice.
Rosalina: I know what Stein is going to say: "NO! NO MORE CLONES!" Because she is somewhat of a princess. However I do think it is time that they added some Super Mario Galaxy element to SSBB, and with the extreme popularity of the series, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rosalina make an appearance as a character. Perhaps her power could be like using her star buddies as attacks, or maybe she has some mystical aura she can access cuz she's like a space person or whatever.
(More coming, thinking about plausibility)

I won't say no more clones about Rosalina, because she wouldn't be a clone at all (I don't think so, anyway). But regardless, I have extremely high doubts that she'll make it. I'd be shocked if they included Daisy or Waluigi. But Rosalina is an even bigger stretch.

I dont know what they would do with Waluigi, but like I've been saying, they could do some cool original stuff with Daisy.

Black Shadow - Cause Capn' Falcon's been lonely since the first Smash Bros. Also I agree 100% with given Ganondorf his own move set.
Ridley- Just shrink him down, and same loneliness reason as Falcon.
Midna on Wolf Link- They'd work as one character but have shared moves: basic wolf attacks plus Midna hair/hand attacks. Also their final smash could be Midna's fused shadow form. (The one she used to take down the barrier around Hyrule castle.)
Pokemon Trainer: Unova Version- I think it'd be cool to have Snivy, Dewott and Emboar as a team.
Travis Touchdown- Not likely. Not at all, due to the maturity and immaturity of his games, but still I like the character and both of his games were Wii titles.
Zant as an assist trophy. I want to see him in brawl but I'm not sure if he'd work as a playable character.
TOON Ganondorf! haha

Travis might actually work. I mean Metal Gear Solid is rated M, and yet Snake was in Brawl.

It'd be cool if those girls from The World Ends with You got in, but seeing as the game hasn't gotten a sequel I'd doubt they'd even get in as tropies

Too Many Third Parties. One per Company, Perhaps?
Anyway, Here's my list of plausible characters (Stein already knows them all):
Bowser Jr. Saki Ridley Isaac Little Mac Starfy Ray 01 Sheriff Paper Mario (EDIT: How could I forget this? @_@) Mii Mega Man Sora
Assist Trophies: Chibi-Robo Daisy The Babies (Baby Mario + Luigi) Krystal
Another Idea: Alt. Costumes that do more then change color:
Pokemon Trainer (Ethan, Brendan, Lucas, Hilbert along with their 3 starters)
Luigi (Mr. L -MUCH NEEDED-) (EDIT: On the other hand, Mr. L could be Luigi's new Final Smash if they bring those back.)
