I'm happy for you since you got that problem solved, as a programmer I know how frustrating debugging can be xD

You should include a post-game quest that explains how he becomes the Viridian Gym Leader!

Thanks you guys, for all your support and suggestions! I appreciate it very muchly. Progress is going smoothly, so here's another bit of media to tease you with: As you may have read in the first post, one of the first major changes in the plotline you will come across is Leaf. Leaf will frequently appear to challenge you and evaluate your progress as you journey forth on your quest for victory (and ladies). Leaf will be unlike any other rival you've faced, though. Not only do her Pokemon change based on your starter choice, but the movesets of her Pokemon also change depending on your progress and your starter. Leaf doesn't mess around; she'll be a pleasant challenge for people who thought the original game was too easy, or for those who want an extra challenge. You'll first meet her on Route 22, where you would normally meet your childhood rival for the second time. You'll be able to experience your first battle with the female fatale in the demo release.

I can't wait. I'll also try to think up some suggestions as well...

This is gonna be AWESOME. Any estimate on demo release? Short Answer: The first Demo Patch/ROM should be available in the very near future, with the end of the month or early April being the very latest. Long Answer: Depends on how smooth progress goes and how much Pokemon Black distracts me (it IS coming out this weekend and I have it and my guide on pre-order). I'm hoping Demo 1, which will be complete (with a first/second draft script) up to Mt. Moon-Cerulean-ish, will be out sometime this month. If I worked diligently enough, I might be able to squeeze a release before B/W come out or just afterwords, but I wouldn't push it. I can't guarantee anything as soon as that just yet, since I haven't begun writing the scripts for the events in that section just yet. If the scripting goes without many hiccups, you could all see something playable soon. Up to Mt. Moon-Cerulean is actually quite alot of content as it is(Provided you don't play Pokemon games in record time or record TASes); you'll fight plenty of battles, and with Leaf's revolving team and new events, it should be enough to tease and entertain you until more of it gets done.

Wow, that's awesome! I was expecting a much larger number! Now I'm really psyched for this hack! It's gonna be so cool! And I know, we're ALL gonna be distracted over the weekend with Black/White.

Only problem I can see with this: Red should be mute (and Gary should actually talk) and be actually able to defeat you when you're the champ.
Also, scripting grammar error- "Aren't I lucky then." should be "Aren't I lucky, then?"
And- last thing. Make a reference to his Corvette with the six cheerleaders. Because Red is mute.

Yes, the corvette would be awesome! XD
And is the Gym Leader thing going to actually be a story expansion, or just sort of a "So you've been defeated, but I'd like to let you know that a former GYm Leader has left. Would you like to take his place?" sort of thing? I can't decide which I'd rather have! XD
