This week on the stands: YannickJason! To be honest, I haven't really heard much of your work, and I have no idea why. If I have enough free time this week I'll go back and review you. I probably will, since vacation is starting, but I also might not. We'll see. Regardless, until then, I'll leave it up to everyone else.

Jeez, where to begin
I love your work, dude. That's the short version. Just about every piece that I've heard is pretty outstanding. You have a lot of great ideas, and you really know where you want to go with them. You have an awesome sense of instrumentation. I'm going to have a hard time coming up with criticism for you. Your pieces are all mixed very well, everything fits perfectly. Nothing really stands out as weird to me. Most people on here have at least one song where they have a synth that just feels sooooo out of place. That isn't the case with you. Your music is some of the best nonprofessional music I've heard in a long time. You're one of the best remixers on this forum (like in the top 5, and pretty high on the top 5 i might add).
I guess if I'm going to make this a good review, I have to criticize something, so let's see. My biggest problem is some of your drum tracks. I could use something a little beefier. Like your Champion Battle (my favorite piece you've done and my favorite piece of any composer on this site), i feel like it could use a much stronger drum track. It felt really laid back. I think if it had a little harder snare and louder kick drum, it would be awesome.
95/100 More people need to hear your music. it deserves to be heard. You make me proud to be a musician (player, composer, arranger, etc.) I was really looking forward to this review. Keep up the good work and keep improving. You are going to go places, good sir. I feel it in my bones

Many people fail when it comes to creating original compositions because they lack components such as melody, a riveting bassline, a well thought out percussion track and a desired tone to their pieces. You, Yannick, on the other hand, are one of the people who managed to create awesome original compositions (notably in BW soundfont) that sounds great and yet maintain the zesty freshness of a well managed piece.
As Amtrax noted, you are very good for an amateur composer/arranger and you should definitely keep everything the way you are going. You just keep improving everytime I see your new pieces.
Your collaboration with TheGuitahHeroe truly displayed your talent. I thoroughly enjoyed the piece and the piano parts were incredible. And personally your "Gym Leader Battle! Vs. KcinnaYannick09 (Fanmade) V2" is one of my favourite fanmade themes made in pokemon black and white soundfonts ever created (including the soundtrack to the actual game)
I rate you 93/100
I can't really find any criticisms at all. Keep on going on!

Yannick, Though I haven't been here very long and have only heard a small sampling of your work as of this minute, I must say I am extremely, extremely impressed with you. You are a very talented individual. You original compositions and your remixes alike are stellar. You have a good ear and an amazing sense of EQ and instrumentation; you really know when and how to let each instrument shine. Your composition is also fantastic; I'm agreeing completely with huntrs here. I might agree with amtrax on your champion theme though; the drum track was kind of soft and lacked the UMPH that most Pokemon themes, especially champion or other boss themes, have in their percussion tracks. Other than the quarrel with the drum tracks on a couple of your pieces, I find it really difficult to pinpoint any one flaw in your music. That my friend, is something you should hold on to.
For the sake of having a numerical grade, I'll give you a 50/50, but with music like this, you really can't put it on a number line. It's beyond comparison after a certain point.

YannickJason
Composition: 44/50 -Your instrumentation is pretty top notch; all parts always support each other nicely. Also you're very good at creating a nice atmosphere in your songs, there's never thin and empty sounding and it is never too busy. I love how you handle bass in most of your songs. My only suggestion would be to improve on your melodies. Some of the melodies in your songs lack build and presence and so they fade into the background.
Sound Quality: 23/25 -Sound quality is very well done. In my opinion, i think you could turn down percussion just a little bit compared to pitched instruments.
Creativity: 24/25 -You have a very unique style and I don't think i've really heard anybody write the way you do. Listening to your remixes, I feel like I'm listening to something completely new rather than a rehash of something already done. In other words, you really add your original style and ideas to anything you remix and transform it into something new.
Overall:91% Definitely a skilled composer, I'm looking forward to hearing more of your work in the future!

I like the instrumentation and the feel in your recent songs. Your songs flow nicely and I really enjoy listening to them. You've made remixes, original compositions, mashups and even vocal covers. Awesome! I challenge you to try different genres! ;)

Seriously, you guys are awesome! I really know what I need to work on now. And Dasgust, Thanks! I'm definitely going to be looking into some more genres now. First up on the docket: Jazz! I've always loved Jazz music; so now I"m off to study some songs and see what I can dish out!
