I have been making up a region for a story called the Sylva Region. It's going to be a colosseum-based region that also has teams. The teams are mostly for status - the stronger the trainers on a team are, the more respected that team recieves. Also, members of a team would generally share a battle strategy. Also, the teams would have their own headquarters. This music would be played at Team Crypt's HQ (though I might have to change their name since I recently saw a Team Crypt on YouTube). Their strategy would consist of combining traping moves/abilities (Mean Look, Spider Web, Shadow Tag, Arena Trap, etc.) and status moves (Toxic, Confise Ray, Attract, Will-o-wisp, etc.), making the opposing trainer start to feel helpless. Team Crypt's leader has a Darcrai that is specifically trained in the sleep strategy. This is the first time that I used the BW Soundfont. Please tell me what I can do better in.

Not bad, there are some parts I really like but the clipping ruins listenability. Clipping is that high crackling sound you hear during the louder parts, and it's caused by something, or multiple things, being too loud. Quiet down your instruments and you'll find that it goes away. Not a bad first attempt with the BW soundfonts. It's got a creepy atmosphere to it, which was evidently what you were going for with an "evil team HQ" theme. Some of your notes were out of key, and whether or not they were intentional I'm not sure whether or not they work. That is, I can't really tell whether they contribute to the mood of the song...or if they're just mistakes. Make more. That's the only way you can get better, and you definitely will

Cue the Larfy!!! Alrighty, so I actually think this is rather nice. I agree with TGH, though, just reduce your master volume a tad, maybe play with the volume of the instruments individually. That clipping will be vanquished! Also, I would second the motion to make more, that's how you improve. I personally need to start dabbling in overworld themes rather than battle themes.... Oh! And PM me about Crypt, I might be willing to work something out.

Thank you for the suggestions. I thought the clipping was just my computer being dumb. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not exporting the MIDI file when I finished (I won't make that mistake again).

Also another note about clipping, another way to solve it could be placing a limiter on the master track as a failsafe, but note it should be just that, it shouldn't be like your excuse to make everything as loud as you want because that will lead to pumping, which can be just as sonally annoying as clipping
