What are your top 5 choices for games of the year 2011? I'll do my post in a bit. (Note: I most bought little to no games this year, so I'll probably only have about 2 games on my list... I'm doing it out of 3... yes... I only bought 3 games this year... lol)

I can't really remember which games I got this year. Rayman Origins was easily my favorite though, and Skyward Sword and Kirby's Epic Yarn (it was 2011 in PAL regions) were also really good.

Skyward Sword, of course. I really can't believe any would would think of topping it with Skyrim, or *shudder* Modern Warfare 3

From what I've heard, Skyward Sword is gold, but I'm going for LA Noire! I also enjoyed Sonic Generations for a while, but not enough to be a game of the year... needed more Sonic CD.

Haven't really played a lot of games that were out this year, but my favorite 2 were definitely Catherine and L.A. Noire. 'Nuff said.

All right. My favorite games this year are Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends, and Skyrim. (I haven't played anything else, but I'm pretty sure Skyward Sword > Skyrim lol) Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends because of the cinematics, dramatic and realistic story modes, the amount of content, the voice acting, and I'm just a huge fan of the hack & slash/tactical strategy games. lol Skyrim because it's fun, time consuming... there are a bunch of quests in this game... so it keeps you busy xP, and the plot is pretty interesting. I'm not going to ruin it though for those of you who are planning on buying it. xP But one thing I've noticed is that the game is glitchy. I died about 7 times on the same dragon because I fell through the mountain... yes... THROUGH the mountain, and somehow the dragon was able to bite me and I died... same cause each time. lol So, other than that, it's a really good game, but on the Spike TV VGAs 2011, it didn't deserve GotY, honestly. Now, I would have Catherine on my list... IF I didn't get pissed off by it a lot. lol It's a super good game, but it just pissed me off.

EDIT: I agree with this list for the most part. Except I think Portal 2 should have been higher on the list. I don't play a lot of games, so I don't know too much besides what I've gathered from other players' reviews and trailers. So in a way it's me just following the general consesus I guess. I haven't really played any of those games besides Portal 2 for a little bit. And I thoroughly enjoyed that, so I think it should have been higher on the list. Other than that, I base my opinion on the reviews which the game has received. Because realistically, the Game of the Year would be the one that people like the most/talk about the most. That's where my opinion comes from.

I'm a bit surprised no one's mentioned pokemon black/white yet, this being PZ. Yeah that's pretty much the only game I bought this year...it was good though.
