So there's a really annoying problem with the BW1/2 soundfonts where certain instruments crash FL completely and you have no idea why, right? Well, I know exactly why now and how to fix the problem. You'll need Vienna if you don't already have it. Load the problematic Soundfont in Vienna. In this example, I'll be using 000-080-Percussion (N battle). Go to the instrument tab and click on the last split. Notice how the fine loop end says 0? That's no good, because the loop point is before the start point! In Vienna, that just creates a harmless beep when you play the note. In FL though, this invalid data is what causes it to explode so spectacularly. The solution is really simple though; All you have to do is make the end loop value valid! So lets go to the samples tab and click on the sample that split uses. See that number by the word size? That's how big the WAV file is, but more importantly that's the usually the number you need to plug into the Fine Loop End box instead of just 0. So go back to the bad split, plug in the value and click apply. If you did it right, the sample should actually play instead of a beep when you test it in Vienna. Loop should be smooth in most cases too. In the percussion kits, you can also go to the global split and fix the panning issues, too. Hopefully this should help you guys out with your broken soundfonts. As a note to Nick, you should do this for any instruments that blow up your computer before you release them.

You have just saved me from one of the most painful and common experiences that comes with composing music in FL. Sincerely, thank you.

Is there a way you could do all these and upload the fixed soundfonts? Cuz I can't.
