Hello everyone! It is me, one of the newbies here I was just curious, does anyone else use Brawl+ and/or modified textures/songs/stages/anything else? I just figure it might be interesting to see what other people's favorite hacks are. My favorite characters added are definitely Mewtwo, Cloud, Ridley, Dry Bones, Frog (from Chrono Trigger), Miles Edgeworth, and Marcus Fenix (Gear of War FTW!) For anyone who hasn't been involved in Brawl modding, it is definitely worth it. You can even get it to work online Brawl+ makes the game less... Meta-Knight oriented haha. In other words, it was balanced by people who apparently know more about the game then the people who made it. You should check out Brawl modding if you havnt forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php

How can you possibly add Ridley without making that imba? I mean, in game he's huge (unless they used a model that's not from the game)

legendarysmashteam.blogspot.com/search/label/charizardHe is not exactly huge, but he is a Charizard costume Pretty good looking still. Let me clarify, these only replace individual costumes, so they don't have new movesets, making them legit tournament wise. There ARE custom movesets however, but they are not needed. I don't use them because they replace someone else's move set who is already in the game.

Ahhh doesn't look like they used the one from the game itself (at least judging by that preview, I'm guessing that's not an in-game image), which was purple and huge.
So what, it's just a skin that replaces the charizard one? Are the moves the same? Also lol at replacing Charizard with his Digimon equivelant.

That Ridley is just a texture/vertex hack. They do have the giant one, but it replaces the Green Alloy or something. Therefor it would not be very legit or fair. So yes, the moves are the same. It would just replace a costume such as that ugly green one that exists. I use Charizard Ridley with Bowser Jr Squirtle and Bulborb Ivysaur to make a villian team led by Gary Oak Since they only replace one costume a piece(I think pokemon trainer has 5?), that leaves much more room for other costumes as well while keeping whatever original ones you want. Costumes keep the game legit in terms of fairness while making it much more interesting in my opinion.

Ahhh I just figured by saying they made it more balanced that they changed the moves around

Ah. No this is what I meant www.smashmods.com/index.php/brawlplus.htmlBrawl+ alters the physics a bit making the tiers practically non existent and removing stupid stuff like tripping. It is a lot less floaty and more like melee. Except for the balancing part. Because that game was also far from balanced haha. Thanks fox and falco >.>

Heh, I have a modded Brawl. Added custom music (and I make it) and a lot of texture/vertex/stage haxx. Never played online w/hacks on.
