This week on the stands: xtremethomas!
Composition: 6/10
I agree with almightyarceus that you should do what you prefer, which is obviously remastering, rather than making OCs, so I won't mark you down at all for not having tons of OCs. But you... don't really ever add anything to your songs. I don't have much to judge from here but your one OC, which was very good, by the way, but you'd have a much more accurate (and probably higher) score here if you actually added stuff to your remixes.
Instrumentation: 6/10
You choose instruments pretty well, but your songs sound... incredibly empty. The thing about orchestration is that you really need full-sounding music, or else it's just incredibly lackluster. One of the things I hate most is when people just run a MIDI through violins and a piano and call it orchestration. While you are a step above it, you still aren't really at an "orchestration" level. If you could do a lot of EQing, that would really help, too. Your songs feel very, well... Un-EQed.
Sound Quality: 7/10
Your samples are pretty decent. I'm not sure if the instruments don't sound entirely realistic, or if you're not doing something right, but they don't sound entirely real, as opposed to synthesized orchestral stuff. Much better though, than others I've heard. A big thing that you could improve on here is really refining some things. A lot of the tracks are very weak. You could double up some instruments here and there, and maybe tone up the bass a bit. You could also do octave coupling sometimes. There are a lot of small things that you could do that I discovered on my own, very slowly. It might be hard to learn them all at the same time, but then again, I wouldn't know, so it might be very easy.
Enjoyability: 5/10
Fullness is the key, here. Your instruments, again, are chosen well, but most of your music isn't something I'd listen to more than once. While I'm listening, I'll notice that it's beautiful, but has FAR more potential than you've brought out.
Overall: 24/40
Suggestions for Improvement:
In summation, your music is good, but lacks heart and soul (no pun intended). You need to make your music fuller, and EQ it A LOT. I've noticed most of your songs are uploaded within 2 or three days of each other. That is a HUGE problem. There's no possible way you're spending more than a few hours on each song, and I think that is what causes most of what lowered your score down to a 24 for me. Really work on spending more time on your remixes. TGH spent 22 hours on This Treasure. I spent at least 11 on Indigo Plateau. I think if you really keep some of these suggestions in mind, you'll reach your full potential.
