Since it's inevitable that someone will link it here sooner or later I'd like to submit to you this statement:
ALL popular singing "talent" on youtube is trolling
How can I tell this?
Since hatred towards Bieber has calmed down, there has been a huge void in the hate levels of people commenting on youtube. This is an incredible opportunity, as whoever can become the next object of their hatred will indeed become successful. Why?
Because youtube popularity runs on hate.
Indeed it does, to become popular with anything on youtube you must first amass hordes of people that hate your guts. A good hater is better then the combined force of 5 fans. Once someone has amassed enough hatred towards them, these people go out and spread it:
-linking the video to other places to show how bad it is
-commenting constantly to express their dislike
-thumbing it down
And through all of these, feeding it's views - and thus it's potential revenue from advertising. Simply put, youtube fame runs on your hatred.
I present to you other examples
-Bieber
-Fred
-RayWilliamJohnson (and practically any other vblogger)
In this manner, they are the most successful trolls in internet history in that they not only piss off the masses, they also get paid to do it - we're talking twice the real life trolling factor of say Charlie Sheen.
Youtube might as well put up a "U Mad" at every single instance a video is thumbs-downed, especially since the rating system has been polarized as good or not good - there is no in between so normal people can't express their actual weighted opinions.
So to why specefically this is an example of a successful troll?
"As seen on: tosh.comedycentral.com"
Right on the video
Think about it - you know if it's seen on Tosh.0 it can't possibly be positive. Why a video would want to have that label?
Yup, successful troll is incredibly successful
Other things to note:
-Look at the lyrics
"Partying partying yeah partying partying yeah fun fun fun fun"
I submit that no one can take those lyrics seriously even if they did write them.
-That auto-tune on the chorus
Autotune makes things better, not worse. You have to have some tech talent to make it actually sound like that.
So what to deduce? It was written piss poorly on purpose.
Why? As I said, fame runs on hate
Indeed, youtube has been trolled
