Hahaha, lazy composer is lazy. Though I'm curious about Mario and Wario, I have never once heard of the game - from the looks of the English cover it was released state-side, but it seems to never come up (I wonder if it wasn't very good and thus was forgotten quickly, or if it came out late snes era and thus was passed over or what).

Junichi must have just played Mario and Wario before he made Route 24 lol. Or whichever came first. The route 1 and Shirley Temple was coo tool!

I guess there's this too: @ 12 seconds @ 29 seconds I actually think that one was purposely done. Rather than being accidental.

Yeah, it is way too close to be an accident. It's cool how he put that in there. I guess that's something me and Junichi Masuda have in common.

Well that is a fairly common chord progression for that type of music, that's probably unintentional.

I too love that reference - I noticed it right away when I first heard this theme. The way I interpret this, is that your life as a Pokémon Trainer is flashing before your eyes as you meet the huge danger and challenge Reshiram/Zekrom is (or rather, could have been) - which just makes the whole thing much more awesome As for the first one.. cool!

I also noticed there's a hint of an RSE battle theme in the Elite Four theme in B/W. I think it's either the Gym Leader theme or the Hoenn Elite Four theme, but i can't remember.

I remember I had a video about that, but I took it down since Nintendo seemed to be angry at some YouTubers, so I played it safe.
