I know I've shown this website to some people here in the past but I thought I should share it here for all to see. freesoundvault.comThese are all sf2s, and some wav files that you can download and arrange with a soundfont player. This is what I used to use for most of my remixes (and still do). Just click the tabs on the right hand side and download away. Might I recommend the "Synths and Keys" combo as well as "Juno Pulse" and "Juno Square" (my two favorite instruments)

Heh, I already have 9GB of soundfonts (old torrent, but each file was free, even if you found them by yerself). I feel so special.

People usually associate sf2 with poor musical quality. . . most of these, however, are fantastic instruments. (Especially the pulse and square) 9. . . Gigabytes? 0_0 That's. . . a lot.

I'll PM you two good sf2s, but be warned of the size! (About 200MB both, one is general instruments with some of their GM counterparts, other is 10 sets of drums) EDIT: If it's allright, I'll just post the torrent that I have. Has about 6000 MIDIs, thousands of soundfonts, 40GB in packed size, and, best of all, it's actually legal!

I was greatly impressed by one of their french horn sounds. Normally, french horn soundfonts are very...pretty. But this one was like...MEATY. I was able to make a decent french horn rip sound (vrump!). When I heard the rip I was like "...F**KING FINALLYYY!"
Good website
