I was inspired by a certain track I found on Soundcloud to try to create something of the house genre: tindeck.com/listen/vyfjThis is what I have so far. I may change up the chords a little once the song progresses, and will certainly change up the drums and possiblly some other instruments as well I intend for the final piece to be at least six minutes long, if not seven or eight

It's basically the genre in-between trance and dubstep, I think. . . It mainly revolves around chords as opposed to a melody, and tons of creative effects added in, especially filters. At least that's what I get out of the house I've listened to XD And thanks for the compliments

House: drone the same chords for 10 minutes straight while playing with filters and the same "4 to the floor" (yuck) drum beat playing the whole song.
At least that's how I see it
House is actually a combination of the funk, disco and electronica movements, mainly characteristic by the constant droning of the chords and a drum line based on the bass note constantly beating on the quarter note. (I wouldn't say House has anything to do with dubstep, and it's pretty different then trance too so I don't think that's the best metaphor).
The track's nice - you should try getting it to sound "rougher," (for lack of a better word) most house I've heard has a very rough type sound to the instruments, very analogue in nature - maybe try using some light distortion, but it seems like you got the filters perfect.

I see you're having fun with the Glitch vst The extra bass on the bass definitely was an improvement
What sort of sound waves did you use to make those main rythm parts? I'm curious what type of sound that is, normally in house the filters make it difficult to pin-point what sort of instrument, it kinda sounds like a synth brass instrument.
Sounds cool so far though
