Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed, but the wild pokemon battle theme has some added strings in the background to make it more tense They sorta sound like the background strings for the Dialga/Palkia battle at the beginning, just cuz of the intervals and eight notes

I feel like the Wild and Trainer battle themes really go back to the roots of the series. They feel very Tojoh-ey

So I've just discovered my favorite town theme of all time: Mistralton City. By far the best. Expect a remix of that sometime in the future

I love so much of the music. Pokémon has some amazing songs, but this is easily the best OST since G/S/C. I'm not sure if it beats either of the first two generations, but it's certainly close. I love so many songs. The town themes are constantly fantastic!

In mine, it's a toss-up between GSC, RBY, and BW. RSE has a great one too. DP's was alright, there were some fabulous songs, but I think the Sinnoh games were the whole series' weak point. They're just very... lacking.

I agree with you on that one Stein. The only songs I really liked in D/P/Pt were Cynthia's battle theme and the gym leader battle theme.

I agree with you on that one Stein. The only songs I really liked in D/P/Pt were Cynthia's battle theme and the gym leader battle theme. Nothing beats the normal trainer battle music, expecially with the epic timpani buildup and the chord climax. Or Jubilife City, what with its jazzy awesomeness. I will admit that Driftviel City has the best city theme in any Pokemon game ever...and the subway trainer battle arrangement's not to shabby as well. :B

Personally I think the game is probably the best in the series regarding the storyline (not to mention I always lol when I beat the Gym Leaders with a type disadvantge AND being underleveled). The AI has gotten MUCH smarter as well; some of the wild pokemon in the game battle like the first few Gym Leaders in DPPlt!
However, there have been some odd coincidences lately regarding the pokemon I and a friend of mine caught, namely the day they were obtained on.
My friend caught an Absol on the 11th, which happened to be the day of the giant earthquake in Japan. I guess it's called the Disaster Pokemon for good reason.
In my case, the result was MUCH more ominous. I caught a Golett (which I nicknamed Juggernaut) and evolved it into Golurk on the 16th. The pokedex data on Golurk says that if the seal on its chest is removed, its power core goes out of control; based on my own knowledge that means only one thing:
Golurk is NUCLEAR POWERED.
What's so special about that? Some of the reactors at a nuclear powerplant in Yokohama, Japan exploded, shooting radioactive material into the air (as if Hiroshima and Nagasaki weren't enough...). What's more? Based on the time of my Golett's evolution into Golurk, the two events took place within about a minute of each other! Now THAT'S an odd coincidence.

Naw, I'm just kidding. But, seriously, that's ridiculous. lol

But it could be all part of his plan, you know... Anyways, is the game worth getting? I'm really not into the pokemon gameplay that much, but I just play it for the sake of continuin' the series? Well I've played the past few games, but my liking of the games has gone down. If I'm too wild about the games, do you still think I should buy it? Or just play it on an emulator
