You're fine with Finale, MIDI seems to be the main basis for collaborations anyways

So, we're basically taking all of RBY's music, ripping and dissecting them into shreds, and rearranging them into nearly different-sounding arrangements for the most part? I'm in. :B
If that's what we're doing, maybe we should have a list of every song in the game, to choose from a complete list.
I honestly don't think we should collaborate with others on songs unless it's a medley of some or you really *want* to, but that's just my opinion. That way, more songs would get covered and no conflict of interests results.

But, I, personally like to work with someone because it's a great experience and it's really fun.

I am very much liking this idea. And I agree with Slarx, working together is more fun and creative (we still need to do that collab by the way), but are we doing Red/Blue or RSE? I've already got two songs (I'm only doing battle songs at the moment) from RSE remixed into BW soundfonts. But yeah, I'll go with the flow. We should start to plan some things!

So I guess the first thing to do would be to list up all the different themes and start choosing partners to work with.
I'm sure I missed more then a few here but here's most of the tracks from the game: -Pokecenter theme -Gym theme -Gym Leader Battle Theme -Trainer Battle Theme -Rival Battle Theme -PL Battle Theme -Champion Theme -Cave Theme -Route themes (there's multiple of this - I know route 1 has it's own special soundtrack and there's like 2 or 3 ones for the other general routes) -City themes (once again a few towns have their own special while some others share them - special ones include Lavender Town, Pallet Town, and a few others) -Pokemon League theme/Indigo Plateu (I don't remember, does victory road have it's own theme?) -Main Menu theme -Intro cinematic theme -Oak's lab theme -Bike Theme
K here's the youtube vids (still updating this):
(the one below has all route themes in one)
Btw, I think you should add some spoiler/hide tags to the forum - would make showing a lot of information easier to organize

A lot of other forums I've been on have them, and they are quite useful. Basically:
[Hidden="Name"] TEST AND STUFF GOES HERE [/Hidden]
The stuff within the hidden code would be hidden within a box that would have a click box on it titled whatever you put in name, when you click it, it shows the text within, click it again and it hides it again.
It's useful to cut down on the tl:dr aspect of posts or to make things like a bunch of youtube videos note expand the page too much. It can also be used to hide things like images that would stretch the page for the viewing convenience of others.
Just makes organizing things easier.

Stuff like that happens and I'm almost sure it is inevitable. But, if I do receive complaints about stretched pages, I'll definitely use that. EDIT: By the way, if you want to avoid having to put videos like that, just use this: Click here to view Whatever That also makes things a lot easier. And another thing. Do we just start picking songs or something?

Is it really necessary to work on a group when it comes to single songs like the Poké Center theme. I've reserved the Poké Center theme now, btw! ;D
And are we going to change the style of the songs? A little bit?
My last question for now: Are we making the MIDIs first and then decide the order, then putting some virtual instruments and finally putting the whole thing together?

Actually, working as a team isn't mandatory. But, think about it: The point of this is to arrange a soundtrack, but do it in a way of which it's like a totally new song. Like, adding original melodies, extending the song length, adding new instruments, changing instruments, changing tempo and all that jazz. Wouldn't working in a team make all that a whole lot easier? Not saying you have to. I'm just saying that working on simple songs like that as a team isn't really such a bad idea.

But it's great if this thing is going to have our own melodies and stuff!
