Okay. Sorry, but there's been yet another delay: Going back to school. This will postpone it until the end of the month; I apologize for the inconvenience.
HOWEVER, the primary reason is that to me the theme isn't sounding so much like the rival theme but more like a battle theme for the Team's grunts you encounter in your hack. Perhaps if I could change this to a Team's theme, I could finish it sooner (since that way I won't need to start over).
Udate: I regret that I must inform you that I cannot finish th composition due to a glitch with the software.

Alright, so does this mean you will not be composing anything then? =[

Seems like people forgot this project, people do have short attention spans You need to do something to let everyone know this is still alive and well

Again, I sincerely apologize. I cannot do music for you, BUT I can make sprites for your hack.

Again, I sincerely apologize. I cannot do music for you, BUT I can make sprites for your hack. Sprites would be interesting. PM me so we can talk about that more! I will likely speak with Larxene about composing music. Wherewolf, I believe you offered to help to me--I would love to see what you can compose! =)

I will. However, for now there are a couple of problems: 1) My internet connection has been having problems, so I'm using a different connection for now. This site is blocked on my school's server, so that rules out logging on from the school. 2) My laptop has been damaged, and it will be a while before I can get it fixed; for now it isn't a problem, but I can't be on as often.

Well, you don't necessarily need an internet connection to compose music, do you?

I think sending it to you would be his problem. Not exactly sure though lol

That's correct. It also means that I might not be on as often, but for now I've found a temporary solution.
I won't be able to use the programs I use typically however...

Okay, that dive theme I did a while ago - it's still un-virtual instrumented atm You said the way the game's being made, it doesn't need to be in MIDI format and can be pretty much any audio format. I don't normally use soundfonts so I can't put it in the sound specifically from any pokemon game, but I can make it sound better by using my actual virtual instruments - so what I'm saying is, you mind if I put it through some virtual instruments to get a more "finished" type sound even if it doesn't like it's specifically from pokemon?
Crap, I'm getting projects mixed up - I believe the dive theme I wrote was for the opal project

As I mentioned in the chat, this will make a good "Thrasher Grunt" theme, which will be needed for a post-game event and for Rose 2.

Working on a thrasher type theme, could work for the leader if you want Definitely in the earlier stages of writing, but I'm trying to make something really tense sounding. Though you may not like it as it doesn't really sound like pokemon music www.box.net/shared/qbrxstavo6Just a note: Some people seem to get confused when I post a wip and say "it's too short" or "make it longer" (not saying you'll do this, but I get this fairly common), I don't write the full song through when doing a wip, I start writing and keep adding as I write, basically I write horizontally and not vertically (I normally get all the layers I'd like in the song working on one part, and then make it longer - thus start with the vertical base and expand the horizontal - though with this song I'll probably end up adding more layers too).
